About Akron Forklifts

Akron Forklifts is the Akron–Canton forklift site of Valley Industrial Trucks. Valley is an employee-owned Ohio forklift dealer, founded in 1956. Our Akron branch is at 1620 East Market Street. From there we sell, rent and service forklifts across Northeast Ohio. We also run planned maintenance agreements and OSHA operator training.

We sell new Bobcat, Clark, Noblelift, Sellick and Bulmor trucks. We also sell JLG and Genie aerial lifts and Kärcher floor scrubbers and sweepers. We sell new equipment in Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina and Wayne counties. We also sell quality-inspected used trucks from every major make, including Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Cat, Mitsubishi, Doosan and Crown. We sell used trucks across our whole area, including Cuyahoga County.

We carry more than one brand. A dealer with one brand recommends that brand for every job. We look at your load, aisle width, floor, duty cycle and power needs. Then we tell you which truck fits. Work in Northeast Ohio ranges from older plants with low ceilings to newer distribution buildings with tall rack. Winter road salt and cold starts are part of the job here, too. So we ask about the work before we quote from a spec sheet.

Our mission is to put the right lift truck in the right building at a fair price. We keep it running with local service from our Akron branch. And we give straight answers about what your operation needs, not what is easiest to sell.
