Why we quote Sellick
A rough-terrain forklift is built for ground a warehouse truck cannot handle. It has large pneumatic tires, high ground clearance and a diesel engine. Sellick's S-Series runs from 6,000 lb to 16,000 lb. Four-wheel drive is available on the S-Series. The SEE-THRU mast is designed to keep the forks and load in clear view.
Sellick also builds more specialized trucks. The SLP low-profile models, 5,000 to 8,000 lb, stand just 79 inches tall. They fit through low doors into barns, greenhouses and older buildings. The STT is built to lift and tow heavy loads such as trailers and modular homes. The STM55A is a truck-mounted forklift, rated 5,500 lb, that rides on the back of a delivery truck. Sellick also offers the JCB Teletruk, a telescopic forklift that can load a truck from one side.
In Northeast Ohio, these trucks earn their keep at lumber and building supply yards, block and precast plants, farms and construction sites. Mud and freeze-thaw ground are hard on any machine. Before you buy a Sellick rough-terrain forklift: what to check
These checks help you pick the right machine the first time. We go through each one with you before we quote.

Pick two- or four-wheel drive for the ground
Four-wheel drive costs more, but it pays off on mud and slopes. On firm gravel, two-wheel drive may be enough.

Rate the truck at your real lift height
Capacity drops as the mast goes higher. This is called derating. We check the load chart at the height you actually stack to.

Check the tires and the ground
Rough-terrain tires are a big cost. Sharp stone, rebar and debris wear them fast, so we look at your yard before we quote.

Cold starts and salted roads are hard on diesel trucks. We check block heaters, batteries and corrosion protection for outdoor work.
