Choosing

Picking the right Sellick for the job

Sellick builds rough-terrain forklifts: big-tire diesel trucks for lumber yards, farms, block plants and jobsites. The S-Series runs from 6,000 lb to 16,000 lb, with four-wheel drive available. The SLP low-profile models, 5,000 to 8,000 lb, stand just 79 inches tall for low doors and barns.

The rest of the grid covers special jobs. The STM55A is a truck-mounted forklift that rides on the back of a delivery truck and unloads at the jobsite. The STT is built to lift and tow heavy loads such as trailers. The JCB Teletruk is a telescopic forklift that can load a truck from one side.

Rate the truck at your real stacking height, not the capacity on the card. Capacity drops as the mast goes higher. This is called derating. We check the load chart against your loads and your ground before we quote.

Can I buy any Sellick model new in Northeast Ohio?

Yes. We can quote every Sellick model on this page new in Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina and Wayne counties. In Cleveland and the rest of Cuyahoga County, we sell used forklifts and offer rentals and service, but not new Sellick trucks.

Do I need two-wheel or four-wheel drive?

You need four-wheel drive for mud, slopes and soft ground. On firm gravel, two-wheel drive may be enough and costs less. We look at your yard before we recommend one.

What is a low-profile rough-terrain forklift?

A low-profile rough-terrain forklift is a shorter truck built to fit through low doors. Sellick SLP models stand just 79 inches tall. They suit barns, greenhouses and older buildings with low openings.

Do you service Sellick forklifts?

Yes. We service the Sellick forklifts we sell, and every other major forklift make. For trucks that work outdoors through Ohio winters, we pay extra attention to corrosion and cold starts.
