1 Do you service trucks you did not sell?
Yes, we service all major makes, including trucks we did not sell. Most fleets are mixed. One service partner for every truck in the building saves time and keeps the records in one place.
2 How often does a forklift need servicing?
Forklift service intervals follow hours and duty cycle, not the calendar. A truck running two shifts in a dusty building needs service far more often than one used a few hours a week indoors. We set intervals by what each truck does. The daily operator check is still required either way.
3 What does OSHA require for inspections?
OSHA 1910.178 requires every powered industrial truck to be examined at least daily before it is placed in service. Trucks used round the clock must be examined after each shift. A truck with defects must be taken out of service until it is fixed. In Ohio, federal OSHA enforces this rule for private employers.
4 Does Ohio winter affect forklift service?
Yes. Road salt and slush tracked in at the docks speed up corrosion on chains, brakes and wiring. Cold starts are harder on IC engines and batteries. Trucks that work in and out of the cold usually need closer checks in winter.
